Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast, who led her U.S. team to victories in 2012 and 2016. She has earned six Olympic medals all over the world and was part of two gold medal-winning World Championships teams. The native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's passion for sports can be traced back to the "mommy and me" gymnastics lesson she took as a baby of 18 months. Aly is a leader when she's on the floor and off and is a passionate supporter of body positivity, and recently, as she has spoken out against Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman, born in 1994, began her gymnastics career as when she was a child. She contributed to helping the U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. She won two medals in 2012 at the London Summer Olympics two of which were for the team and another for the floor exercise. In the year 2016, Raisman returned to compete at the Olympics in Rio she won silver medals in the single floor and all-around final and gold for the team women's competition. Raisman revealed in 2017 that she was abused sexually by team doctor Larry Nassar. The following year, she filed the lawsuit with USA Gymnastics as well as the U.S. Olympic Committee.
